Katy hosted her daughter’s 7th birthday at Basin and her guests ranged from age 5 to age 75. Her review afterward said our coach Matt “took the time to help each child and adult learn to climb safe, while having FUN,” calmed the nervous kids, stayed with the party the whole time, and even synced the birthday girl’s music playlist. Her family had the entire Kid Zone to themselves that day, and her last line was that they can’t wait to come back.
That’s what a Basin birthday looks like. Here’s how it works.
What’s included
The party is climbing, and we handle the climbing part completely.
-
Supervised climbing access for every guest, with a Basin host present the whole time for safety and to help kids get on the wall
-
All climbing gear included, shoes and harnesses for every climber
-
A dedicated party space for cake, presents, and catching your breath
No experience required for anyone on the guest list. Our staff is good with the kid who runs straight at the wall and just as good with the one hiding behind a parent. Grandparents have climbed at Basin birthdays, and so have toddlers. Climbing age range is 3 to 99!
How the pricing works
One flat rate covers your group of climbers, there’s a simple per-climber rate beyond that, and parties cap at 20 climbers total. Our website has current pricing or you can reach out to info@basinclimbing.com for more information!
The honest details
We believe in telling you everything up front. You bring your own cake and food, we don’t do catering. Other members may be climbing in the gym during your party, but the dedicated Kid Zone, rental room, and staff attention are yours. Parties cap at 20 climbers in the Kid Zone, so if your guest list runs bigger, call us and we’ll talk through options.
Why parents keep booking these
Kyle brought his son to check out Basin for a birthday and wrote that our front desk staff member Joel was so good with his kids that his son “considers him a best friend now,” and the family decided on the spot to hold their party here. Shea, one of our member families, hosted her daughter’s party with us and wrote that the friends who came now want their own kids’ parties at Basin.
That last part happens a lot. A climbing party is the one the kids talk about at school on Monday, because every single guest, athletic or not, gets to do something that felt a little scary and walk away taller!
Booking is one email
Parties book up, especially weekends, so reach out a few weeks ahead. Email info@basinclimbing.com or call (254) 221-6120 with your date and headcount, and we’ll take it from there.
Your job on party day is to bring the cake and take the pictures. We’ve got the rest.
