Homeschool Climb Club
Sessions run 8 weeks, with two sessions each semester. Use your funds for one session, two sessions (a full semester), or all four (the full year).
Approved TEFA provider • 2026–27
Texas families can now use Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) funds for select youth programs and memberships at Basin.
If your student was awarded a TEFA account for the 2026–27 school year, that money can go toward climbing at Basin — the coaching, the training, the community, the thing your kid actually looks forward to all week.
The program
The Texas Education Freedom Accounts program was created by the Texas Legislature in 2025 and is administered by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
Approved families receive state education funds in an account managed through Odyssey, and can spend those funds with approved providers on approved educational expenses.
Basin Climbing and Fitness is one of those approved providers.
Eligible at Basin

Choose a 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, or annual membership for Development or Competitive Team athletes.
Four simple steps
Visit withodyssey.com and sign into your family's account.
Search for “Basin OpCo Waco LLC.” That's our legal business name and how we appear in the marketplace.
Select the program or membership term you want and check out using your TEFA balance.
We'll confirm your enrollment and get your student on the wall.
All TEFA purchases go through Odyssey. We can't accept TEFA funds at the front desk, and the program doesn't allow reimbursements — so please purchase through the marketplace before your student starts.
Good to know
Basin OpCo Waco LLC is our legal business entity. Same gym, same people, same wall — it's just the name the state has on file.
No. Every program is available to every family the normal way. TEFA is simply another way to pay for it.
Your account and eligibility are handled entirely by the state. Check your Odyssey account or contact the Texas Comptroller's TEFA program directly — we don't have access to your account information.
Not for the current school year, but the state runs application windows for future years. Watch the Comptroller's TEFA page for the next one.
Ask us anything about the climbing — schedules, coaching, what tier your kid belongs in, or what to expect. Email lauren@basinclimbing.com.
