1a. Information We Collect Through the Mobile App
When you use the Basin Climbing mobile app, we may also collect or process:
- Authentication identifiers — your email address or phone number, used to sign you in via a one-time code (we do not store passwords)
- Account identifiers — your member ID and check-in barcode, retrieved from our gym management system to display in the app
- Device push notification token — if you choose to allow notifications, an anonymous device identifier provided by Apple or Google so we can send notifications about your rewards and gym updates
- App feedback — any messages you submit through the app's feedback feature
- Chat messages — text you type when interacting with our in-app virtual assistant
- Device platform information — basic device type (e.g., iPhone, Android) so we can support the app
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or use any third-party advertising or behavioral analytics services in the mobile app.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process your transactions and manage your memberships
- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, rewards, and our services
- Send you marketing communications (with your consent)
- Authenticate you when you sign in to the mobile app

- Service providers that help us operate our business, our website, and our app, including payment processors, email and SMS delivery services (Twilio, SendGrid), our app's backend hosting and database providers (Heroku, Neon, Supabase, Amazon Web Services), and the providers of Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging used to deliver app notifications

These service providers process information only on our behalf and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

5a. Deleting Your App Account
You can delete your Basin app account directly from the app: open the app, sign in, and tap "Delete my account" on the home screen. This permanently removes your sessions, push notification settings, and the contact information attached to any feedback you've submitted. Your underlying gym membership and member record are not affected by this action — to make changes to your gym membership, contact us at info@basinclimbing.com or visit the front desk.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website to enhance your experience, analyze usage patterns, and deliver personalized content. The Basin Climbing mobile app does not use third-party tracking SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites.
8. Children's Privacy
Our website and online services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through these channels. Family memberships at Basin may include minors, in which case the parent or legal guardian provides any required information for the minor as part of our gym membership process. The Basin app displays family member information (such as a child's check-in barcode and earned rewards) to the parent or guardian who is signed in. Children under 13 are not invited to create their own app accounts.
